Quentin R. Porter Photographs
Quentin R. Porter (1918-1982) operated Porter Studios on Broad Street in Falls Church, Virginia from the 1940s-1970s. He photographed a variety of Falls Church and Northern Virginia scenes including businesses, events, car accidents, passport photos, clubs, schools and more.
In 1983, Mr. Porter's widow, Lota, donated approximately 50,000 negatives and prints to the Mary Riley Styles Public Library. MRSPL retained images relating to the immediate Falls Church area and donated the remaining images - over 28,000 - to the Fairfax County Public Library's Virginia Room.
